Here’s why you should never focus on money…

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

Law of attraction experts and even the movie “the secret”
advise people who want to manifest their desires to
“focus on what they want.” Since most people want more
money, they focus on money.

Receiving wads of cash or even visualizing their bank
account balances with multiple zeros.

But many people have followed this and still haven’t seen
an increase in their bank balances or in the amounts of
cash they hold in their hands.

There is growing evidence that seems to suggest that
focussing on money itself, is not the answer.

So if you don’t focus on money, what do you focus on then?

Focus on the essence or the experience that having money
will give you. Most people actually don’t want money
itself. They want the things that money will give them.

So, instead of focussing on the things they want they
focus on the money, and that’s where they miss it.

When you focus on the things you want, for example the
house and the cars or the relationships, you leave the
details up to the Universe to deliver the things you want.

Sometimes it will give you the money… other times it
will show you a way to get the things you want with
little or no money.

Why is it wrong to focus on money?

Because money is not real… What makes money appear real
is the collective belief in our minds that it has a certain
value. Money can lose its value the moment somebody makes
a decision that it is no longer valuable.

Think of European currencies that lost their value when
the Euro was introduced as the new currency. It was still
the same notes and coins that people used not so long ago.
But suddenly in a matter of days it became a worthless
piece of paper.

What had changed? A decision by the government that a
ertain currency had no value, followed by a collective
belief in people’s minds that it was no longer valuable.

So if you have been focusing on money and you’re not seeing
the results you expected. Try something else today.

Focus on how you would feel once you have the money, but
bring the feeling into the present, as if its happening
right now.

help you understand and apply the laws of the Universe so

Can we really give of ourselves if we’re not free?

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

Recently while I was reading Stephen Covey’s book “The 7 Habits
of Highly Effective People “I came across a section where he
related how his daughter refused to share her toys with her
friends.

While reflecting upon this behavior he came to the conclusion that
“one needs to possess something first before you can share freely”.
He concluded that perhaps the reason his daughter was unable to
share is because she hadn’t had time fully “possess” these toys.

After reading this passage and reflecting upon my own life as well
as life itself in general I came to the realisation that we can
not really share of ourself. Who we are as well as what we can give
until such time as we are in posession of ourselves.

In other words, if we don’t feel free in our lives (mind, body & soul),
it means that we have yet to possess ourselves. And until we can
take posession of our being we will not be able to fully share
our love and talents with others.

We will always feel like something is holding us back. And this
feeling will also be reflected in how others respond to us. Only
when we become fully free and uninhibited will others respond to
us in a way that brings total success and fulfillment.

When we are truly free we are not afraid to take risks, because if
we fail we only have to account to ourselves. No one else. However
when we’re afraid of doing certan things for fear of failure or for
fear of what others would think of us, then we are still not really
free.

In many instances we have to first achieve an inner freedom before
we can achieve financial freedom.

What do you think of my conclusions?

Do you agree or not. Or is there anything else you would like to
add?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Jimmy
