Is Life Coaching For You?

Saturday, August 29th, 2009

You have tried affirmations, visualization but nothing seems to be working. You have bought every book on the law of attraction that promises to unlock the windows of heaven, yet you still come up short!

You are frustrated and wondering. Why is it not working for me, even though I’m doing all the right things?

You are wondering if the law of attraction is perhaps just a lot of smoke, without substance.

Perhaps You Should Try Life Coaching!

What is Coaching?

Coaching is an ongoing professional relationship between an individual or a group of indviduals and their coach. There are as many different types of coaching as there are disciplines. From performance sports coaching to life and business coaching. However all these different types of coaching have one thing in common. They all help produce extraordinary results in the lives, careers, businesses and organizations of those being coached.

Coaches enable their clients to deepen their learning, improve their performance, and enhance their quality of life. During each coaching session, meeting or call, the Coach listens and contributes observations and or ask questions. This interaction helps create clarity and moves the client into effective action.

The coaching process accelerates progress by providing focus and awareness. It concentrates on where you are now and what you are willing to do to get where you want to be in the future, recognizing that results are a matter of your intentions, choices and actions. Supported by a good coach and the proper application of the coaching process, amazing things can happen. Your life can change in ways you never imagined!

The above definition of coaching was taken and adapted from Marcia Weider’s article Definition of Coaching.

How to know you’re on the right track even when there’s no sign

Friday, August 28th, 2009

We human beings like signs, especially when we’re on a road we’re traveling for the first time. If we don’t see it, we get worried because it may mean that we’re on the wrong road, although not necessarily. Not having any signs to show us where we’re going increase the feeling in us that we are taking a risk, whether it it is true or not.

This is an understandable reaction because no-one wants to fall prey to some criminal element and suffer physical harm or even suffer financial harm by taking careless risks.

However, sometimes your breakthrough may be some way off on an unchartered road without any road signs. The landscape may convey quite the opposite of what you’re expecting to find. All the experts may predict a negative ending. This has caused many to give up thinking that they were on the wrong road, when in fact they were on the right road. Instead of doubting yourself and listening to the doubters, this is the time when you should look within you and look for the answers.

Many a success story was born even though the experts said it couldn’t be done, it couldn’t happen. If only through the sheer determiation demonstrated by its architects.

Let me give you an example. Recently I was trying to pave an area on my property. Finally there was only a little space left that required only half a brick. I tried cutting the brick in half with a shovel, which was the only tool I had at the time. After trying for a while I stopped and I tried again. Upon seeing my results my handyman took the shovel and started cutting it with gutso. I was looking for the brick to show any sign that would indicate that it was ready to break apart, but it didn’t. It just suddenly broke apart without warning or without any outward sign. When this happened I experienced an Ahah! moment. I knew exactly why my handyman was successful while I wasn’t. My efforts were hesitant, not fully committed. I was looking for a sign to show me that a breakthrough was imminent. My handyman wasn’t looking for any sign. He just gave it all he had, expecting the brick to break apart, and thats exactly what happened.

The breakthroughs we seek in life often comes like that. Without warning or any sign to indicate that a breakthrough is imminent.

Your subconscious mind or higher self knows what’s ahead and will never lead you astray. But you have to develop a relationship with your higher self. Its only when you have learned to rely on its guidance that you’ll clearly know the direction in which it is leading you.

Spend time alone praying and meditating and you’ll not need any other sign. You’ll recognise the voice within.

Have you tried to manifest your desires buying prodcut after product after product? Are you still not having the things you would like to have in your life?
